Jim Travers

In 1974 James Travers returned to Ireland from Canada having worked there as a Wedding Photographer for five years. James introduced a new style of Wedding Photography to Ireland from his city centre studio.

Innovation remains a feature of James Travers Photographic work today.
Jim’s concept is that his style must strive to match your concept of what your Wedding is all about.

According to Jim:

“Communication with the couple about their vision is the first step.
The Wedding day itself is made up of many moments, formal, spontaneous and creative. These moments are the challenges I face on the day.
To capture them well, my Photographic style has to be at all times traditional, at other times Photojournalistic, and to satisfy the artist in me at times impressionistic”

Over the years Jim has won many Awards both Nationally and Internationally.

Most recently, in 2001, James was Awarded the Prestigious Master Craftsman Degree in the U.S.A.
The only Photographer in Ireland to receive this Award, and one of five in Europe.
